To Study the Role of Bone Marrow Aspiration in Etiological categorization of Pediatric Pancytopenia

Background: Pancytopenia is a Clinico-hematological entity, characterized by triad of Anemia, leucopenia, and thrombocytopenia. The criterion for defining HGB < 9 g/dl: ANC 1.5 x 109/L platelet count <100 109/L. main objective this study to categorize pediatric pancytopenia’s on etiological basis the age wise incidence.
 Methodology Results: This 5-year (2016-2021) conducted in tertiary care referral hospital. All data were expressed as Mean +/ - SD p value <0.05 taken statistically significant. A total 500 bone marrow smears pancytopenic patients studied, which 60% boys & 40% girls, 64% constituted Malignant diseases 36% benign. Incidence wise, ALL most common pancytopenia being 2nd together comprises cases. Some rare cases like AML –M6 2 months old, Chediak higashi syndrome Familial Hemophagocytic noted. Flow cytometry Molecular genetics done ever required.
 Conclusion: Bone Marrow Aspiration reliable sensitive test can be used investigation Pediatric if meticulously with other routine hematological tests give high diagnostic accuracy. our (other studies showed Aplastic anemia), AML-M6 months, LD bodies marrow, HPS amongst
